bam!
Oh look! He even owns a non-profit organisation now!
Whoa, the start of school finally! My new modules in school for 2009; Drafting Financial Statements and Planning, Control and Performance Management. Attended the first module yesterday held by a lecturer named Ms Yeo and was late for about 10 minutes. Lol, ah...I'm never always punctual *embarrassed* Well, learnt about a new depreciation method, cash flows and the more 'advanced' way of how to categorize assets and liabilities. Legally obligated, contractual terms, etc etc.
This time, I've got to prepare to store a ton of theory in my head....lots of International Accounting Standards to learn and calculations. Oh, and these two papers are WRITTEN. Oh wow finally, I could use a pen! (Been taking all computer based exams for the past year.)
Awful thing is, my class is chock full of (mainland) Chinese students and they are just...LOUD. But this time, the class is really big and kinda like an 'United Nations'. Different people from different countries. Hmm, exotic! When I talk about the Chinese, they are the mainlanders.
Oh, and back to the Chinese students....they just gave me a bad impression. So, when I arrived in class, I chose a front seat beside this 'nice looking' young Chinese lady since almost all the other seats were either hard to reach or occupied. I smiled and whispered softly asking if the empty seat beside her was occupied, she just gave me a cold look and took away the bag. How rude! At least flash back a damn smile!
Next was something that irked me a lot. Our tables were those having wheels and there were always 2 people sharing a table (as it meant to be). While I was taking down notes from the lecture and reading the text, that stupid lady PUSHED the whole table forward without saying 'excuse me' so that she could manoeuvre her fat ass out and head to the toilet. Is an 'excuse me' that hard to say? Can't she just get out by moving behind the chairs? Because of that, I almost made a streak of ink running across my freshly printed notes. Typical Chinese...No wonder the Americans potray the stereotype of them as being loud, rude and inconsiderate. How true.
I just kept silent throughout the entire lecture since it was my first day while that lady kept pushing the table every 1 and a half hour. Didn't want to cause a commotion. Well, it didn't stop there! There were so much space on the table, the lady kept flipping her notes and causing the papers to flip ONTO my notes! How the hell am I supposed to read my notes with your damn papers covering mine? Stupid prick. I waited how long she took to realise that her notes were creeping into my territory and it took her almost 10 minutes before flipping all of it back. Best part, not even a 'Sorry' uttered.
That is why I don't like the uncivillized and crude Chinese. Worst thing, Singapore is slowly not becoming 'Singapore' anymore. With the increased influx of mainland Chinese moving here to seek asylum and a huge number of Singaporeans migrating every year....Singapore is slowly being taken over by the Chinese. Everywhere you see, from transport drivers, food court vendors, cashiers, waiters or any other job you could imagine...its always the mainland Chinese. Even the recent murders and crimes involve them. You could see them milling about in the red light districts or accompanying those old sick fucks in coffeeshops....
So for the love of any higher sentinent being, I just hope that the mainlanders would improve on their etiquettes and behave themselves on foreign lands. These kind of behaviours are not tolerated by affluent and modern societies.
